Good question! I just edit true to the day. Living in the midwest, we are blessed with 4 seasons (all though, some are short lived) and the sun changes nearly every month with how it photographs. I just want you to be able to look at your photos and remember each green, orange, white, blue, whatever it is - is how it should be documented. Trends are so fun, and I use those for certain areas of my personal work, but I like to assure my clients that their photos will be clean and true.
I like to take the corners. My favorite compliment I get all day is “you just keep popping up! how did you get here?” Yes, weird, but so so so valid for me. I don’t know if you know this, but your wedding day is absolutely not mine. Ever. In fact, it is not your moms, dads, or friends. They are all so crucial in the day, and maybe some people think I am, but I want to document it. I really mean that, be a reporter in the day that you may have been waiting for all your life. I find pockets of moments that you won’t even see the day of and capture so you can keep them for the rest of your life. We will still have a timeline and yes, I will pose you because you THINK you will look awkward, and yep! I will coordinate family photos, group photos, etc. But just know that I am there to be a vessel to allow these moments to live forever.
HA! OMG! Yes, the best thing you could ever ask. I would love to go ANYWHERE to document whatever it is you’re needing. Just get me there, and I’ll handle the rest. *Travel fees may apply, as well as session fees.
I would never tell you what you need. Do I use them? Often, yes. Are they NECESSARY? No. I can do a lot on my own. In fact, sometimes it works best. However, a lot of brides really enjoy having another set of eyes there, being places I physically cannot in certain circumstances. My hired shooters get paid, so yes, there is an added on cost on certain packages. Your wedding will be captured to the best of my ability with or without one. But I would love to help you determine if one would make you feel more secure.
I’ve been there! A lot. I love it. I love a challenge. I am well versed in off camera flash and no flash at all. Sometimes, you really have to make do. But I promise you I will give it my best. I look at it as a new opportunity to show what I know. I love flying by the seat of my pants, I honestly work well under pressure/the churches orange carpet. But if you feel comfortable having me view your venue before hand, I would love to. Just remember, even the 100 year old church is part of the story.
First of all, no you’re not! You are human. Throw me in front of the camera, annnnnd haha. LETS NOT. Our session together, well, It just flows. All my work, and I mean ALL my work you see- 100% of couples and a lot of seniors say 2 things to me. 1. “I’m nervous!” and 2. “We are so awkward, we have no idea what to do.” It is all good! We will move in ways that by the end of the shoot you are just loving on yourself or one another. There is no judgement here & together we will make you look soooo so good. Mostly, just promise me you’ll show up for your significant other or yourself. That’s all we need.
I always find myself telling my couples on the FaceTime calls or in person meetings (yep! we do that. so good to see you) that my packages, my workflow, everything is almost too good to be true. I say that because a lot of couples always say “thats it?!” Yep, that is it. Lets keep it simple, get back to the basics. When I say I am here for you, I mean I am here for you. I should add no stress to your wedding day and only bring you the lasting photos that mean something to you. And I’m here for that, but mostly for you. Fill out a contact form and let’s get going. I cannot wait to meet you.
